Reading a Candle

Image
SIGNS LEFT IN OR ON THE CANDLE HOLDER, STAND, PLATE, SAUCER, GLASS, OR LABEL It is quite common to read the smoke patterns left behind in a candle glass for divinatory purposes. This is a combination of Capnomancy -- divination by smoke (a word that can also refer to reading patterns in "live" smoke -- that is, incense smoke or the smoke from a candle) and Ceromancy -- divination by wax (a word that can also refer to reading patterns formed by dripping wax into water). It is therefore known as Capno-Ceromany or Cero-Capnomancy-- divination by smoke and wax. A glass encased candle burns half clean and half dirty A grey or black and sooty top which fades down to a clear bottom indicates that there is hidden trouble with the person for whom the lights have been set or that someone is working against your wishes. Things will not go well at first, but by repeated spells you may get them to go better. A dirty, black, sooty burn marks the candle glass or holder This means...

Candle Magic Really Works

Image
Since time immemorial, we all have been practicing and exposed to witchcraft! Remember blowing your candle out on your birthday and making a wish? That, my friend, is candle magick. My name is Kabir and I have been doing candle magick for the last 20 years, as I focus on result-oriented remedies. Candle magick is intention based and each candle is customized specifically for you and your unique situation. I insist on working with faith and not fear, which is called “Kabir’s Law”. These are mostly 7-day candles that are anointed with special oils, magical herbs, spiritual prayers aka “spells” and positive intentions. Candles amplify positivity manifold, remove blockages, negativity, and opens our roads for success in love, protection from witchcraft, marriage, divorce, children, court cases, gainful employment, travel, visas, etc. The basic principles are to concentrate, visualize and focus (use the Law of Attraction) on the candle as a symbol. Candle magick can be used for ove...

How Does Candle Magic Work?

Image
Believing in the power of magic does not mean that casting a spell will instantly solve all your problems and attract all your desires. Candle magick works in a way that is very intuition based, amplifying your subconscious wants/needs to aid in your spiritual manifestation.  Candle magick truly does work & and it can change your life, only if you believe it can. The power of choice lays within you and you must understand that candle magick is a way to "engage" the power of your mind, spirit, soul and subconscious. When you manifest, not only does it invoke the power of positive thinking in your mind, but it creates subconscious drive to help you achieve what you want. Yes, there are mystical forces at work in the universe that can help you get results you want; but the most power lays within you. This phenomenon is also more commonly known as the Law of Attraction, using your energy to attract what you want in your life and allow positive things to c...

Harness The Power of Full Moon Magic

Image
When the Earth is caught between the moon and the sun, the result is the Full Moon, bearing the most powerful energies of the lunar cycle. The Full Moon is often seen by people as 'all purpose'-- it's energies are prismatic in that it flows into all areas and needs, be it constructive or destructive. The Full Moon is a time you would utilize for extra power when you're facing very difficult challenges. This is not just for minor mundane tasks, such as looking for the energy to reorganize your closet or trying to clear negativity out of the house after an argument; this is a time to reserve for those important things in your life that need major changes or major boosts. While you can plan spells for anything, utilize this energy for your priorities that really matter in your life. If you need to win a court case, or find a new job with better pay to prevent you from losing your home, or help yourself heal. I specialize in Candle Magick and specially prepare cu...

Color Therapy & Candles

Image
Colors play an important role in our lives and even when we do creative work or meditate; we can lend distinctive vibrations and focus our intentions better through the burning of different colored candles. Candle “magick” is an important and much studied science and art (which is often times wrongly associated with black magic or witchcraft). Candle magic is based on the same principle as that of color therapy. Different colors have different frequencies which, in turn, have different effects on the human psyche. We can use these effects in a positive manner to enhance our mind power. Likewise, some candles are also fragrant and the different fragrances can also reflect differently on one’s feelings, emotions and aura. Therefore, through candle magic, practitioners can make use of varying fragrances and colors of candles to create different effects for their clients. Candle magick practitioners often recommend writing names, dates, birthdates and certain symbols on the candle ...

Your First Tarot Deck

Image
Choosing a First Tarot Deck Here are some points to consider if you are choosing your first deck: Choose a deck that makes you feel comfortable and secure, but also inspired. Since you will be spending a lot of time with your cards, you don't want to pick a deck that strikes you as odd, unpleasant or boring. Later, you may seek out unusual decks for the challenges and insights they offer, but it's better to start with one that attracts you. If a certain deck calls out to you, go with that one! There is no official tarot deck. Decks come in many different forms, but the "standard" deck has 78 cards with 22 Major Arcana and 56 Minor Arcana cards divided into 4 suits. Most decks are built on this model. You should probably stick with a standard deck to start so that you are familiar with the most common format. Many decks are oriented around a theme. This is especially true of modern decks. Typically, the images, the names of the suits and the court card figures ...

What Can Tarot Cards Tell You?

Image
What Can the Tarot Cards Tell You? by James Rioux Before going into what Tarot cards can tell you, perhaps it would be best to cover what they cannot tell you. Tarot cards are not fortune-telling cards; they will not tell you that a certain event is definitely going to happen, no matter what. The philosophy behind the Tarot is that all future events are subject to change, and if you are warned of events far enough in advance you can avoid them. An example I like to use comes from Isabel Kliegman's "Tarot and the Tree of Life":  "One balmy evening, I was driving down the hill from my home at roughly twenty miles per hour over the speed limit. It is a rugged area with no cross streets and one that invites disregard of rules. On this occasion, however, several cars driving up the hill flashed their lights at me... Then, from the dark recesses of my mind, a memory emerged. Flashing lights by passing motorists warn of a policeman in the area. I slowed my car, passed ...

Types of Tarot Readings

Image
One of the most common misconceptions about getting a Tarot reading done is that you must come into your appointment with questions prepared beforehand. However, sometimes there are frustrations and concerns so deeply rooted within us that we don't know what questions to even begin with to address these frustrations. Tarot readings can be a simple solution/answer to a cry for help that we don't know how to answer. If you don't know what specific questions to ask when you get a Tarot reading done, don't fret! The cards always reveal more than what you ask or expect of them. There are two types of Tarot Card readings: Question Readings In question readings, you are addressing a specific question and seeking an answer or clue to a possible solution within the spread that is laid out. Keep in mind that Tarot is not intended to answer specific yes or no questions. With Tarot readings, one must also be able to neutralize their own opinions, as the spread shou...

Tarot Readings vs Astrology Readings

Image
One of the most frequently asked questions by clients is: What is the difference between Tarot Card readings and Astrology Readings? How do I know which one one I need? Tarot Readings: Tarot readings are more energy based and can read accurate based on the energy you are harnessing during a certain short time period.  Tarot won’t tell you exactly what will happen – for example, what will happen in your job, the exact date you’ll meet your future husband or the first name of your first child. But it can predict what  could  happen based on your present circumstances. It can also help indicate what actions to take in order to manifest your goals in the future. Tarot does not tell fortunes because giving messages about an immutable future is counter-productive to the purpose. Tarot is supposed to make you think, make you act, and most of all, make you learn. It does not tell you what you already know because that would not force you to think outside your...
