In mid-autumn the old is dying & everything is turning inward as the new prepares to be reborn.  We begin to think & dream about new beginnings & what the new year will bring. But before we can enjoy new beginnings in our life we need to contemplate what needs to “die” within ourselves in order to welcome the new life that will grow into next year’s harvests.  We start to turn inward before we’re “reborn” at the winter solstice. This is a time to open yourself to your inner voice, your intuitive power.   This is a powerful time for magic & manifesting. We all know Halloween as the time of year where costumes and candy reign supreme. This spooky holiday allows both children and adults alike the opportunity to channel their inner spirit for tricks or treats, but what many are unaware of is that this holiday is Pagan in origin and is a special time to celebrate the souls of our dearly departed, as the veil between this world and the next beco...

Interpreting The Energy Field Of Life Aura: au|ra - A particular atmosphere or quality that seems to surround a person or thing. From Webster's New World Dictionary (3rd College Edition)     Aura Interpretations There are 4 facets to perceiving and interpreting the energy of the aura. Layers are determined by color variations. Within the color, the shape, consistency and clarity all determine the meaning of that layer.   Is the yellow you perceive around the head bright like the sun or dingy and faded? Is the green just an oblong ball around the elbow or is it around the whole body? Does the red appear as a spike flashing across the torso or is it consistently present around the head?   These examples will be further detailed, but you can see the many factors that determine the meaning of what you see. It's important to be as precise as you possibly can during a reading, whither it is for yourself or for someone else. The more you practice your second sight, the m...

What is the hype over essential oils? How come everyone is talking about them and do they even work? Essential oils are a concentrated extract version of the natural oils that already exists within plants.  These oils are extracted from plants via distillation. Distillation is most commonly done by steam or water, where many parts of the plants are being used, including the plant roots, leaves, stems, flowers, or bark. The therapeutic quality of essential oils has recently been discovered in the Western world and commodified to be marketable as people have just now discovered the positive outcome of essential oil use. Essential oils have been used throughout history in many cultures for their medicinal and therapeutic benefits. While the oils are still in the plant, they  provide the plants with protection against predators and disease, and also play a role in plant pollination . As these properties carry forward into the essential oils, folk medicine since ancient time...

The Number Two Cards of the Tarot There are six cards in the Tarot deck with the number two on them. They are each distinct and might seem to have little in common, but they are united in their reflection of certain themes. The Tarot's pair of Major Arcana cards with the number two are The High Priestess card, numbered 2, and The Hanged Man card, numbered 12. Each of the four suits of the Tarot's Minor Arcana (Wands, Cups, Swords and Pentacles) also has a card numbered two. The themes of each two card can be summarized as patience, balance, extremes and the struggles inherent in these processes. Patience can be the path to a great reward or a higher consciousness, but it can also produce a boredom that inspires apathy if not self-destruction. Balance can bring you a life of rich diversity and dynamic possibilities, but it is also requires loads of work and time to take care of the many details that build a life. Extreme positions are often necessary in order for you ...

Casting Magic Spells What is a magic spell? Magic Spell:  A specific and deliberate attempt to harness and manipulate the energy following a formula or direction. A conscious, formalized attempt to manipulate magic power and energy in order to achieve personal goals. Magic is the manipulation of Earth’s naturally occurring energies in order to provide you with the abundance, success, prosperity, love, health and happiness you desire. Magic spells are deliberate, specific attempts to connect to and control the Earth's energies following a specific formula or general direction. Magic spells can be dramatic, shocking or, quite frankly, mundane. What differentiates a random series of actions from magic spells is your intent, desires and goals. Magic spells are a conscious, formalized attempt to manipulate magic power and energy in order to achieve your personal goals. Before you perform an act of magic, you must be certain – absolutely clear – on why you are doing it and ...

Choosing a First Tarot Deck Here are some points to consider if you are choosing your first deck: Choose a deck that makes you feel comfortable and secure, but also inspired. Since you will be spending a lot of time with your cards, you don't want to pick a deck that strikes you as odd, unpleasant or boring. Later, you may seek out unusual decks for the challenges and insights they offer, but it's better to start with one that attracts you. If a certain deck calls out to you, go with that one! There is no official tarot deck. Decks come in many different forms, but the "standard" deck has 78 cards with 22 Major Arcana and 56 Minor Arcana cards divided into 4 suits. Most decks are built on this model. You should probably stick with a standard deck to start so that you are familiar with the most common format. Many decks are oriented around a theme. This is especially true of modern decks. Typically, the images, the names of the suits and the court card figures ...

Aces in Tarot Deck Each Ace represents the qualities of its suit in their purest form. An Ace always adds something special to a reading. It stands out from the other cards as if in a circle of its own light. The images on the Aces are all similar. A strong hand, glowing with energy, comes out of a cloud grasping the token of its suit. An Ace "hands" you a gift that comes from some unknown source hidden in the clouds. The nature of the gift is symbolized by the suit token. Ace of Wands A wand is a strong, masculine object, alive with potent force. Leaves are growing as new life bursts forth. The wand reminds us of a magic wand used to perform miracles and create wonders. The gift of the Ace of Wands is creativity, enthusiasm, courage and confidence.  Ace of Cups A cup is an open, feminine object - a receptacle designed to hold nourishing liquids. Water pours from the cup showing there is a never-ending supply of refreshment flowing into the world. The gift of ...

OCTOBER ASTRO-FINANCE OUTLOOK: STORMY EYE ON THE WORLD: OCTOBER IN MUNDANE ASTROLOGY Its been a very intense month on the planet between hurricanes and saber-rattling with North Korea.   Having Saturn and Rahu aspecting each other in the gandanta area (Cancer 27-30 to Scorpio 27-30) has created very complex problems and world disasters as Saturn tends to show its results at the end of a sign as it leaves.   Some of it may seem to let up a bit Oct. 2-8 th   but much of October is still intense until Nov. 3 rd and 4 th .   In fact parts of October between Oct 14-31 st  seem more intense than September and if we are going to get a stock market correction, we think it will come in October. Firstly, a deflation cycle, Venus in Virgo,  hits between Oct. 10-Nov. 3 rd  and usually the stock market does not like this cycle and it usually negatively impacts silver and crude oil and gold and grains.   Chances are any rallies into the ...

One of the most common misconceptions about getting a Tarot reading done is that you must come into your appointment with questions prepared beforehand. However, sometimes there are frustrations and concerns so deeply rooted within us that we don't know what questions to even begin with to address these frustrations. Tarot readings can be a simple solution/answer to a cry for help that we don't know how to answer. If you don't know what specific questions to ask when you get a Tarot reading done, don't fret! The cards always reveal more than what you ask or expect of them. There are two types of Tarot Card readings: Question Readings In question readings, you are addressing a specific question and seeking an answer or clue to a possible solution within the spread that is laid out. Keep in mind that Tarot is not intended to answer specific yes or no questions. With Tarot readings, one must also be able to neutralize their own opinions, as the spread shou...

One of the most frequently asked questions by clients is: What is the difference between Tarot Card readings and Astrology Readings? How do I know which one one I need? Tarot Readings: Tarot readings are more energy based and can read accurate based on the energy you are harnessing during a certain short time period.  Tarot won’t tell you exactly what will happen – for example, what will happen in your job, the exact date you’ll meet your future husband or the first name of your first child. But it can predict what  could  happen based on your present circumstances. It can also help indicate what actions to take in order to manifest your goals in the future. Tarot does not tell fortunes because giving messages about an immutable future is counter-productive to the purpose. Tarot is supposed to make you think, make you act, and most of all, make you learn. It does not tell you what you already know because that would not force you to think outside your...
